Vinyl laminating is taking a vinyl surface laminate, coating it with an adhesive and applying it to the profile of a substrate with a series of rollers that shape and form the laminate to the molding.

- Quantities required

Yes, in most cases you can. The most readily available wrapping material to match an HPL is a polyester laminate that uses the same base paper as the HPL.

Wood or MDF profiles require shaped moulder knives to generate the profile. These are usually carbide tipped and are the major tooling cost. However, we often have stock tooling that can be used. Some profiles may also need specially shaped silicone wheels for lamination.

Typically, we work on a two-week lead-time. However, most wood veneers require 3 to 4 weeks for us to receive, so a 4 to 5 week lead-time can be expected for veneered items. For repeat items we can inventory materials for shorter lead-times.

In general, our maximum laminate width is 27", maximum thickness is 4" and maximum length is 16'. There may be some variations depending on the profile.

Our capabilities revolve around vinyl laminating, however, we can also provide raw MDF mouldings, cut-to-length, edge foiling, contoured and straight end foiling, end capping, drilling, limited assembly, and various types of packaging.
